West Virginians have improved access to care with the recent opening of two nurse owned businesses. Vicki Spurlock, APRN, FNP-BC opened Elkview Health LLC, at 105 Credes Landing in Elkview in late 2019, serving the northern Kanawha Valley/Charleston area. This practice is the sole primary care office in Elkview. An APRN for 15 years, Vicki earned her MSN from WVU. She currently offers primary and preventive wellness care to patients ages 16 years and older with plans to offer skin care services, including Botox and Juvederm, starting in March. Mary Curry APRN, FNP-BC opened Faith Family Health on Mercer Street in Princeton in February. Mary earned her MSN from The George Washington University in 2016. A former ER Nurse Practitioner, Mary offers a variety of services including acute/injury care such as suturing, as well as primary care, chronic disease management and vaccinations to all age patients. Faith Family Health also offers concierge services for weight management and an IV drip bar, featuring a selection of nutrient infusions.
